Lothian DAF Bathgate is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their successful team in Bathgate, West Lothian. This is a combined role offering the opportunity to lead and manage the workshop while ensuring its smooth operation. The Role:

Oversee the efficient running of the Service Department, driving growth and development of workshop facilities. Control the allocation of work to a team of 11 Technicians and 2 Apprentices (across two shifts) to meet departmental KPI’s. Ensure the timely flow of job cards through the workshop and to administration. Liaise effectively with Service Reception, Workshop Foreman, and Technicians. Provide strong leadership and direction to achieve the highest levels of customer service and financial performance targets. Maintain a strong focus on workshop efficiencies and meet all relevant KPI’s. Analyse fluid contamination samples. Update Dealer/Manufacturer systems (Keyloop, Kerridge, DAFCheck, Techshare). Assist technicians with any technical issues. Secure customer authorisation for additional work. Ensure all work is completed correctly, competently, and within expected timescales. Finalise and sign off job cards. The Ideal Candidate:

Proven track record in a similar Service Manager or Workshop Controller role within the commercial vehicle industry. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team and achieve results. Excellent commercial vehicle technical knowledge and working understanding of DAF products. Proficiency in Keyloop (Kerridge) is an advantage along with other relevant dealership/manufacturer systems experience. High level of experience with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a busy environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers, technicians, and colleagues.
