The key aim of this role is to support Flooid in ensuring customers receive the right level of service by maintaining, improving, visualising, troubleshooting and delivering technical cloud environments for our highest profile customers. You will act as a key technical resource for the Operational teams as well as relying on SMEs for individual areas and specialisations. You will collaborate with teams from across the business to ensure that customer systems are performant, reliable, resilient, and secure even during periods of rapid change. Responsibilities:

Acting as a key technical resource on cloud environments and related operations for both planned and reactive work. Working on complex technical activities such as incidents, deployments, problems, DR failovers, and similar complex changes with both a hands-on approach and a longer-term, strategic mindset. Acting as an escalation point for technical issues where required. Liaising with customers on technical and operational issues and improvements. Working closely with stakeholder teams to ensure a joined-up approach. Ensuring technical documentation & procedures are up to date and create/edit and improve these on a regular basis. Working to automate & script as much of the team's activities as possible and review with line manager frequently. Helping the team achieve KPIs and SLAs that span multiple teams, customers, and tech stacks. Representing the technical and operational interests with multiple stakeholders, including significant global customers and ensuring the right decisions are made to ensure stability and availability. Ensuring you have the right mix of skills for both current and future scenarios and working to develop these as required. Identifying and implementing continual improvements and drive these activities to their conclusion. Managing technical aspects of change for multiple customers. This includes change approvals, CAB process, and delivery of changes. Taking part in an out-of-hours rota to help Flooid deliver services on a 24/7 basis, where required. In-depth technical expertise and experience within a similar role. Experience of working as part of mixed technical teams, spread across regions, time zones, support rotas, and follow the sun approaches. Experience in at least 3 of the following: Google Cloud Platform Kubernetes Networking (including VPN, firewall & routing) Java / Apache support & troubleshooting Other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) Linux OS / Windows OS Ability to understand and distil complex information into high-level views and reports for a variety of audiences with excellent customer-facing communication skills. Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work with a variety of people and teams at different levels. Dynamic and proactive approach to resolving issues. Working understanding of ITIL and experience of working with processes that span multiple teams and departments. Benefits:
