Join UKAEA as a Service Support Officer - Catering, where you will play a critical role in supporting the Site Manager, Service Support Manager, and Assistant Support Manager in managing vital services across our site. Your efforts will help ensure that our catering, hospitality, and other essential services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities

As a Service Support Officer - Catering, your responsibilities will include: Contract Management Support:

Assist with the management of catering, hospitality, and vending contracts, ensuring services are delivered effectively and cost-efficiently. Audit and Compliance:

Perform monthly food hygiene audits, ensuring any required actions are communicated and documented. Conduct bi-annual audits of catering training records to ensure compliance. Facilities and Administrative Support:

Manage the annual maintenance of conference centre equipment and handle any emergency repair visits. Ensure catering menu information and events are regularly updated on internal platforms and communicated to stakeholders. Additional Site Management Tasks:

Assist with managing confidential waste services and lost property records. Support the Vehicle Management System during peak times and staff absences. Monitor winter weather conditions for campus safety and report findings to the CPM. Frontline Communication:

Serve as the first point of contact for callers to the main site number, delivering a professional and welcoming first impression. Administrative Duties:

Execute various administrative tasks as directed, demonstrating proactive time management and the ability to prioritize workload effectively. Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have: A good basic level of education with strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrable administrative experience, including diary management, minute taking, and workload prioritization. Strong problem-solving abilities with the capability to seek guidance when necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a wide range of internal and external personnel.
