Bridgend

area. How can you make a difference? As a

Service Technician , you will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of Nordex wind turbines for Nordex UK. You will carry out general and specialized work including repairs, troubleshooting, and fault-finding activities. Our goal is to achieve a high level of availability for the running of the turbines! What will you be doing? You will be responsible for Wind Turbine availability, which means physically troubleshooting turbines with low availability on site in various wind farms, as well as analyzing data and other information to create and support implementing action plans that will increase availability in the fleet. Key responsibilities for this role include: On-site performance analysis and action plan implementation Working closely with Technicians and Back Office staff to perform on-the-job demonstrations Supporting on-site single turbine improvements on problem turbines Providing on-site software & hardware updates Supporting online and phone technical support Creating reports on turbine or turbine components Parameter disabling and alarm change handling when necessary The Field Support Technician will also go to site in case special works are being performed to physically support the local technicians, especially on farms that are in or are at risk of being in LD’s (liquidate damages). What are we looking for? The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a technician working in the wind industry with proven experience of planning and executing large works from start to finish and troubleshooting wind turbines. You will be Mechanical or Electrical trained through time-served or a technical college qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). You will be experienced in using data to analyze faults and trends and demonstrate you can identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions to problems. You will have proven experience in providing technical support and instruction on-site and by phone and have the ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges. With a positive attitude and willingness to learn, lead, and improve. You are computer literate and confident in using MS Office, database, and workload management systems; bonus points if you have used SAP. This role involves working at heights, up to 100m. You will need to be fit and healthy and pass a working at height test. You will be required to travel on a regular basis, which includes nights away from home. A full UK / EU Driving Licence is required for this role. What we can offer you? Time Off:
