Assisting the Asset Manager and Training Manager, your primary role is to coordinate and undertake the build and assembly of vertical ladder fall arrest systems. Working Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours Salary is £24,000 - £26,000 a year - permanent, full-time. Accountabilities and Main Duties

Undertake the building of vertical ladder fall protection systems as per customers’ requirements and as per kit lists forwarded from the purchasing manager. These are to be assembled, swaged and pull-tested to meet the specifications and standards of MSA Manage all builds and schedules to ensure dates requested by customers are met wherever possible. All completed systems are to be packed securely and dispatched to customers with all completed paperwork and any test results enclosed with each shipment Monitor and maintain all vertical system stock levels liaising with the purchasing manager to enable us to carry out work without interruption wherever possible. Report any issues with builds or equipment at the earliest opportunity Respond to any issues reported in relation to the building and facilities. Repair where possible and report any external tradesmen or materials requirements Keep the production area clean and tidy and clear of rubbish and unnecessary clutter and carry out general housekeeping within the work area and surrounding space Undertake training to inspect and service MSA and other branded fall arrest products and coordinate and manage devices sent in for maintenance and repair. Undertake training to inspect and manage the training department’s PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) inventory ensuring all kit is in date and available for use in line with the PPE regulations 2022. This will include all winches, tripods, and any other rescue training equipment. Assist the training department in all aspects of the running and management of the training centre including but not limited to: cleaning of breathing apparatus (BA) and refilling of BA cylinders following confined space training, setting up prior to training courses and assisting in ensuring all kit is safely stowed away afterwards. General housekeeping with the training centre and assisting with courses as required. The role may involve nights away from home on a regular basis Carry out any duties as requested by management in the interests of the business Desired Skills Good self-motivation and organisation Ability to work remotely with limited supervision at times Problem solving Good practical skills with tools Prior experience driving large vehicles, including towing trailers, will be an advantage.
