6 Months initially Essential Skills: Degree-level education or equivalent professional training and experience. Minimum of five years' experience in an IT service environment within a complex and diverse organisation. At least two years' experience in a service environment implementing ITIL service management principles and processes. Demonstrable experience and aptitude in working within a matrix organisation, using effective negotiating and influencing skills while maintaining good working relationships. Sufficient technical background to understand core system architectures and the impact of new technologies; experience with enterprise-level applications is advantageous. Proven ability to manage personal and others' work, plan, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, show persistence, foster good working relationships across teams, and contribute to the SMO team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and political awareness. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate effectively to users at all levels and attention to detail. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Understanding of IT standards and a willingness to achieve further formal ITIL qualifications as required. Confident use of Microsoft Office tools, email, and web browsers.
