Brighton Met College, part of the Chichester College Group Ref: BRTN8048 Sessional Assessor – T-Level in Education and Early Years Approx 12 hours per week, fixed term until July 2025 Are you an experienced and passionate Childcare or Early Years professional looking to share your skills with the next generation of teachers, nursery nurses and child carers? Brighton Met College is looking for a Sessional Assessor in Education and Childcare to join our team and help share our students’ future careers by supporting the development of employability skills and vocational competence. As our T Level in Education and Early Years Assessor, you will visit students on placement and assess their progress and performance. You will also liaise with relevant employers as part of the assessment for the T level and undertake a range of duties that support the successful running of Early Years work placements. Minimum Requirements: Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths A relevant professional qualification at Level 3 or above - Diploma in Childcare and Education, Level 3 NVQ in Early Years, Care and Education, Children and Young People’s Workforce, NNEB Experience of working with students and assessing vocational practice Skills in assessing the progress of students Knowledge of Child Care/Early Years programmes and the qualification framework Knowledge of the kind of skills and personal qualities needed by students for the employment sector/organisations for which they are being prepared The working pattern for this role will be discussed at interview. We will consider requests for job share.
