Requirements and Qualifications Must possess a valid CSCS card. Previous experience in setting out reinforced concrete (RC) frames and groundworks is essential. A degree in Civil Engineering/Construction or equivalent relevant experience is preferred but not essential. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills for this 12 month role. Setting Out Engineer This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is pushing the boundaries of the industry and shaping its future. Role Overview: Setting out engineers assist the engineering team by utilizing site plans, advanced technology, and precise instruments to locate and mark both above-ground and below-ground structural features throughout construction projects. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Perform setting out, levelling, and surveying on site. Act as a liaison between engineers and the construction team to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of plans and drawings. Provide reinforced concrete setting-out support to the construction team. Maintain a site diary. Report progress to the engineering and survey departments. Offer technical support on-site. Essential Skills & Knowledge: Technical Skills: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position. Familiarity with surveying techniques and construction processes. Proficiency in using survey equipment. Experience in structural setting out. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and related work is required. Interpersonal Skills: Strong numerical ability and aptitude for mathematical calculations. Ability to interpret and understand technical data. Logical and lateral thinking skills. Proficient problem-solving and analytical abilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
