As Setting Out Engineer, you will have experience working on a range of commercial contracts, ideally with RC frame multi-storey projects such as student accommodation and high-rise residential properties. You should also have solid experience working in the construction industry, especially on RC Frame developments.
This role requires you to start ASAP, with up to 12 months of work available. This project is a multi-story RC frame Student Accommodation with commercial units.
Key responsibilities: General Setting out, including: RC frame, groundworks, drainage, manholes, borehole chambers, surface water, pop-ups, service trenches, boreholes, ground beams, retaining walls, sheet piles, capping beams, slabs, and the relevant tests and as-built documentation. Surveying and investigation works. Report to Site Manager. Liaising with sub-contractors. Adhere to Health & Safety compliance throughout the site. Ensure quality of works meets the clients' demands.
Minimum Requirements: 2 years minimum setting out experience. Able to use Leica and similar equipment. Experience on commercial and RC frame projects - ideally hotels and student accommodation. Must have main contract experience in contracts in excess of £25m. Must demonstrate a proven track record with previous employers confirming length of service and continuity of employment. Able to use Leica and robotic equipment. SSSTS or SMSTS certification AND CSCS card.
Benefits: Salary: £240 to £250 per day rate. Weekly Pay. Up to 16 months of work. Starting ASAP/immediately. Location: Birmingham City Centre.
