The Role
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precise execution of works on this 12-month project. Your skills in setting out, surveying, and quality control will be essential to maintaining the highest standards of construction and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately set out and level works in line with project requirements.
Perform surveys and maintain detailed, accurate site records.
Interpret technical drawings and provide setting out solutions.
Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve technical queries.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Prepare as-built documentation and assist with quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
Proven experience in setting out on civil engineering projects (experience in water or infrastructure projects is highly desirable).
Proficient in using modern setting out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, or Degree).
Valid CSCS card.
Strong understanding of construction processes and technical drawings.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
