In this role you will be working on a variety of sites across the South West, including in Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Bristol. As the Sewerage Project Engineer you will oversee specific SPS projects as part of our Escape of Sewage strategy and Resilience strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing or delivering minor projects, contractor-delivered specialist maintenance and retrospective modifications to sites to reduce the risk of failure that may cause a pollution. Work you may be involved in includes: reviewing alarms at pumping stations and retrospectively fitting/testing them where they are currently missing working with divisional teams on the generator/power failure mitigation project to identify operational and capital needs to reduce the risk of pollution through power failures panel modifications resolving flow compliance issues at pumping stations by working with SPS divisional teams and the Mechanical Optimisation team overseeing enhanced fixed generator maintenance by contractors working on smaller cyclic maintenance projects (eg, overseeing form two panel installations carried out by framework contractors). You will have a background in sewerage and SPS and have proven experience working with these assets. Ideally, you will have worked with contractors and on projects and will also have an understanding of risk assessments and the control of contractor processes. In addition, you will need: time-served apprenticeship to Level 3 NVQ in electro-technical qualification or HNC with onsite electrical experience AM2 2391 - Test and Inspection of electrical installations to BS7671 would be advantageous 18 th
