Assist the Production and Engineering Management teams in developing risk assessments and safe systems of work. Assist with the maintenance of the site's environmental management system. Ensure suitable SHE inspection and auditing programmes are established, completed, and implemented, including maintenance/follow up of corrective action databases. Support the development and delivery of Site Safety Meetings and other SHE communications. Review, devise, write, and implement suitable health, safety, and environmental procedures. Advise, coach, and mentor employees on compliance with their legal health and safety duties. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, issuing reports and ensuring the SHE Incident log is up to date and maintained. Support the delivery of SHE training and manage the competency matrix. Maintain competent authority communication logs. Emergency preparedness - Ensure Safety Data Sheets and COMAH Compliance. Review area fire risk assessments. Skills and Experience
Health and Safety experience gained from manufacturing, preferably in high hazard industry, chemicals, and CoMAH preferred. Risk assessment review and development experience. Incident investigation, root cause analysis, auditing, and report writing. Knowledge of current SHE legislation/regulation. Knowledge of Process Safety, Human Factors, and Behavioural Safety is an advantage.
