Sheet Metal Fabricator Vehicle Development Technician Location : Woking (onsite 5-days) Permanent Purpose of the Role Facilitate and support vehicle development manufacture, build, and test requirements, as well as prototype and research requests within product development. Principal Accountabilities Responsible for all

work requested within the Vehicle Development Workshop. Collaborate closely with the Vehicle Development build team to construct high-quality, reliable prototype vehicles, bucks, and rigs to support the effective testing and development of new vehicle technologies. Support a variety of tasks, including vehicle builds, rig builds, and preparation for vehicle testing. Manufacture components for prototype and development vehicles. Effectively manage simultaneous work requests, addressing conflicting priorities within tight deadlines. Build strong working relationships with the Vehicle Development build team and Product Development Engineers to ensure quick problem resolution, efficient communication of technical issues, and valuable contributions to prototype and development designs. Maintain metal fabrication plant and equipment, ensuring care and regular maintenance. Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required Extensive experience in

sheet metal fabrication

and welding of one-off and small-batch parts. Knowledge of motor vehicle architecture and operation. Familiarity with the latest metallic and composite materials used in high-performance vehicles or aerospace industries. Proficiency in computer systems, including the ability to view drawings in CAD. Ability to interpret engineering specifications and drawings. Engineering-based apprenticeship training, demonstrating competency in general engineering workshop skills. Personal Attributes Holds a current UK driving licence. Flexibility to work at other locations in the UK or overseas if required.
