My client in Surrey holds a prestigious background within the defence and aerospace sectors, having worked on component parts for many leading military projects.
They offer a broad range of sub-contract services including CNC Machining and Sheet Metal Fabrication. Through growth, they are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join the team on a permanent basis.
Working hours: Mon-Thu 7:30 to 16:30, Fri 7:30 till 12:30 (39 hours)
Benefits: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Flexible starting from 6:30 and finishing from 10:00 on Fridays.
Experienced Sheet Metal Worker
Hourly rate in the region of £16-£18 per hour, O/T at x 1.5. Responsibilities include: Carrying out general engineering duties including countersinking, fettling, riveting, and assembly. Opportunity for the right candidate to be trained to operate an Amada CNC punching machine. Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
Extensive experience within sheet metal fabrication (minimum 3 years). A good all-round knowledge of sheet metal processes. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Able to understand engineering drawings. Experience working predominantly with aluminium and steel. Able to work to a high level of precision with tight tolerances and time schedules.
