Walker and Watts Ltd. is seeking a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to join our team. If you’re passionate about safety, health, environment, and quality management and are looking to contribute to a forward-thinking company, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities:

As a SHEQ Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our commitment to safety, health, environmental sustainability, and quality standards: Safety Management: Implement and maintain safety management systems Conduct risk assessments and safety audits Provide safety training and support Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken Health Management: Develop health programs promoting employee wellbeing Conduct health risk assessments and provide guidance on ergonomics Ensure compliance with environmental regulations Conduct impact assessments and reduce environmental footprint Quality Management: Implement and uphold quality systems to meet customer standards Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with legislation and industry standards Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across departments to integrate SHEQ processes Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and authorities Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate SHEQ records Prepare performance reports for stakeholders Role-Specific Requirements

Ensure designs and records meet regulatory and best practice standards Conduct safety audits and environmental assessments Work with design and construction teams to maintain SHEQ compliance What We’re Looking For

Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (or NVQ level 3), ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (or willing to complete within 2 years) Experience: 3+ years in SHEQ, ideally within electricity distribution networks or related industries Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 (ISO45001) Strong experience with health and safety regulations (CDM, LOLER, NRSWA, COSHH, Noise and Vibration) Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making abilities Tech: Proficient in Microsoft Office Memberships: TechIOSH or GradIOSH (or working towards membership) Why Join Walker and Watts Ltd?
