Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets, online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for a multi-skilled shift engineer to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Carry out both electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs on high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery, automation & control systems & associated equipment.
Completing structured PPM’s.
Work on motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, drives, bearings.
Order spares & parts.
Participate in continuous improvement and project work.
Maintain engineering technical documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Be a multi-skilled engineer, either electrical or mechanical biased.
Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 as a minimum.
Ideally worked in food manufacturing.
Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem-solving skills.
Able to work on own initiative and sometimes unsupervised.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Dealt with high-speed production lines and machinery.
Worked on hydraulics & pneumatics.
Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment.
