If this sounds like you then keep reading! We have an opportunity for a new QA FLM (Quality Assurance Front Line Manager) role to join the Technical Team based in Sheffield. We need intelligent, effective colleagues to help us move forward. As a QAFLM you will be a respected member of the team, driving improvement and making a difference. The primary role of the QA FLM is to validate the compliance of all required site operations. This includes auditing, measuring, reviewing, and sampling in and around all areas of the factory and ensuring all non-compliance/issues are communicated to appropriate leaders so support can be provided to ensure all corrective actions are followed. You will be working actively with the operations team on resolving daily production challenges, making decisions on finished product quality, conducting site traceability, and actively improving site standards. Throughout the shifts, strict health, safety, and hygiene standards must be adhered to, ensuring products are made to the highest quality. This is what you’ll actually do! Monitor the quality of product on line while ensuring all process controls are met and recorded on the appropriate paperwork meeting customer and legislative requirements. Highlight any issues as soon as they are discovered allowing corrective actions to take place. Conduct audits of process and HACCP as required. Manage food safety & quality incidents as they arise, completing documentation for Holds, Concession, Non Compliance, Near Miss management for raw materials, finished product, and food safety and quality scenarios. Conduct regular internal audits of the site's operations in accordance with the QMS. Conduct traceability exercises and confidently present findings to customers during visits and third-party audits. Liaise with Operations to investigate consumer complaints to identify root causes and ensure feedback to appropriate teams. Manage micro and nutritional databases, reporting, investigating, escalating, and resolving issues. Carry out daily Product Quality Evaluation and EOL on finished product, recording and reporting results. Export liaising with the supply chain, completing traceability and organizing site veterinary audits for exporting products within the EU. Ideally this is you! Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Trained Internal auditor. Broad experience of the food industry, particularly bakery manufacture is advantageous. Experience of working in a GMP environment. A strong awareness of allergen controls. Proven track record for continuous improvement and completion of complaint investigations. Excellent team working, communication, and negotiating skills. Well organized with good planning and time management skills. Personal Attributes: Can-do attitude with a hands-on approach. Great team player with strong communication skills. Flexibility in working hours. Ability to challenge in a constructive manner. Excellent investigation skills and able to present work professionally to relevant stakeholders. Attention to detail and confidence within their work. Good work ethic, reliable and committed to the company. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and pro-actively, taking ownership & accountability of role and tasks.
