Our client, a leading food production company, is seeking a talented engineer to join their team and support operations with advanced machinery. The Role As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll be an integral part of ensuring the efficient operation of high-performance production equipment. Your responsibilities will include: Performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance to keep machinery running at optimal levels. Diagnosing and resolving faults, especially with PLC systems. Working with a range of systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves, ovens, mixers, pressure systems, and refrigeration. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reducing the need for reactive maintenance. Supporting production teams to maintain smooth operations and minimise downtime. What You'll Bring To excel in this role, you'll need: Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally within the food production or manufacturing sectors. Technical expertise in PLC systems and working in a continuous improvement or PPM environment. Qualifications such as a BTEC/ONC in electrical engineering, or a time-served apprenticeship/HNC in electrical, mechanical, or production maintenance engineering.
