Shift Maintenance Engineer , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continued safe and effective operation of plant assets. Your primary focus will be on electrical maintenance, but a solid understanding of mechanical systems is also beneficial. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as breakers, relay contactors, and motors while supporting production teams with any engineering challenges that arise. Key Responsibilities : Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
Perform repairs on electrical components such as breakers, relay contactors, and motors. Ensure all plant and production equipment are maintained to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any engineering issues affecting production. Health and Safety
Ensure Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) are adhered to and report any safety issues to the Engineering or Site Manager. Ensure the correct use of PPE and communicate any additional requirements to the Engineering Manager. Maintain high housekeeping standards, promoting a "clean as you go" policy within the department. Communication & Reporting
Ensure smooth shift changeovers with clear communication regarding production issues, breakdowns, and ongoing tasks. Submit shift reports to the Engineering and Production management teams, ensuring all necessary details are provided. Inform the Engineering Manager about any urgent needs for critical or day-to-day spare parts. Communicate any issues with resolving production breakdowns to the Engineering Manager or Shift Supervisor. General Responsibilities
Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and high working standards. Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by management to support the maintenance operations. Shift Pattern : Week 1 : Monday & Tuesday - Days, Wednesday & Thursday - Nights, followed by 4 days off. Rotating shifts with a mix of day and night shifts, offering a balanced work schedule. Skills and Experience : Strong electrical background (e.g., experience working with breakers, relay contactors, and disconnecting motors). Mechanical experience is advantageous, but electrical knowledge is a must. Previous experience in a plant or production maintenance role is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively, minimizing downtime. Commitment to health and safety standards, with a proactive approach to housekeeping.
