SHIFT PRODUCTION MANAGER

£40,000 - £45,000 We are looking for a motivated shift production manager to join a global manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company. Role Description
Manage production output for the shift potentially across multiple departments, ensuring daily targets are achieved by the team. Manage stock levels within the department. Health & Safety Management; ensure that staff are working safely in line with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and wearing required PPE where necessary. Ensure production quality is to the highest standard, including quality audits and remake management. Plan daily schedules, organize staff resourcing, and escalate any issues that may arise when required. Responsible for informing and expediting critical data, covering labor, machines, materials, and line balancing, while reporting any issues to your line manager. Carry out performance reviews with staff and returns to works, ensuring that any absence issues are reported to supervisors daily. Attend daily production and shift handover meetings, escalating any urgent orders and checking 1st & 2nd runs. Manage the training matrix, conduct regular reviews, and arrange cross-training to ensure a fully flexible workforce. Review systems and processes to achieve continuous improvement in your department. Skills and Qualifications
Excellent product knowledge of all areas in your production area. Demonstrate good people management techniques in motivation, development, and communication. Computer literate - Microsoft Office.
