Shift Technician focuses on carry out planned preventative maintenance (ppm) and respond to reactive maintenance tasks across mechanical and electrical systems.

What the role involves

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance tasks across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Monitoring BMS and critical alarms, escalating issues in line with site procedures.
  • Supporting the operation of UPS systems, generators, CRAC/CRAH units, HV/LV infrastructure, fire suppression, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, fault finding, and first-line diagnostics to minimise downtime and operational risk.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health & safety regulations, site SOPs, EOPs, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Liaise with specialist subcontractors.

Skills and requirements

  • Relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • IOSH or equivalent health & safety certification advantageous.
