Their specialist Marine team assists these clients and their insurers and reinsurers in relation to:
- Arbitration
- General Average
- Ship arrest
- Cargo claims
- Fine art and specie
- Jurisdictional disputes
- Maritime casualties
- Charterparty disputes
- Commodity disputes
- Marine insurance
- Misappropriation
- Sale of goods
- Shipbuilding
- Third party liability claims for personal injury and property damage
- Yacht claims
This high quality, dedicated team are now looking for an additional Associate in the London office.
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- Strong academics, intellectual rigour and strong technical and research skills;
- Trained at a rated City or regional firm, most likely one with a good reputation for Marine work (wet and/or dry experience would be of interest);
- Most likely between 1 and 5 years’ post-qualification experience in Shipping law;
- The ability to adopt a proactive approach and take initiative;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
- Proven ability to manage a busy, complex case load.
Common law-qualified Lawyers with relevant experience would be very welcome; the firm is able and willing to sponsor if required.
