Shop Floor Supervisor , required for a Specialist manufacturing business based in Woking. The suitable candidate will be responsible for supporting the Production Manager by leading staff, organizing and monitoring workflow, and ensuring the team meets monthly targets.
You will be maintaining the workflow by monitoring steps of the process, understanding manufacturing bottlenecks and problem-solving, monitoring the skills matrix and resources, implementing cost reductions, and communicating well with other departments to ensure team involvement.
The company is growing rapidly and is looking for skilled Fitters who can step up to a lead fitter role in the future, pick up the role, and learn, develop their skills, and drive to meet the production targets.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Adhering to and communicating work instructions provided in the absence of the Production Manager
Communicating job expectations
Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Coaching, counseling, and disciplining direct reports
Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Supporting the Production Manager with driving the team to meet monthly targets and monitoring production output
