Shop Manager Berkhamsted

The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a shop in an effective and efficient manner. To maximise shop and online revenue, deliver excellent customer service and provide a safe and engaging environment for its staff and customers. You will need to demonstrate your abilities in the following areas: Managing, motivating and developing all shop staff including a team of shop volunteers. Maximising the sales and profitability of the shop. Providing excellent customer service. Providing a safe and healthy shop environment. Acting as a Rennie Grove Peace ambassador within the community. Leading and managing a team of direct reports, carrying out individual performance reviews and supporting their ongoing personal development through coaching and training. Inducting and training volunteers in aspects of shop operation, health and safety, and customer service. Working closely with the Volunteer services team to recruit, motivate and retain volunteers with the right skills to deliver organisational strategy. Reviewing how volunteers are recruited and making recommendations on improvements to deliver the team's strategic aims. Encouraging volunteers to participate in Rennie Grove Peace special events and training opportunities. Being an ambassador for Rennie Grove Peace and actively demonstrating our values with staff, customers, and the local community. At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, we're all about making every moment matter for our patients and families, and you can play your part in that. We provide care and support for adults and children diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, and their families, visiting day and night. It's important work and, to make it all happen, we need talented and passionate people. If successful, you will join on the first working Monday of the month so we can best support you with our structured induction programme. We encourage early application for this job.
