Job Overview: An exciting opportunity to work with our Client as a Production Manager, whose approach involves strategically planning, organising, and structuring operational resources to efficiently fulfill customer orders. You will focus on stabilising the operational teams and resources across picking, packing, assembly, finishing, and manufacturing to consistently achieve and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs). Ideally, someone who’s not scared to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty to get the job completed! If you’ve worked your way up in that environment, had exposure to all aspects of the shop floor along with CNC machining knowledge, then this role could be the next step in your career path!

Preferably metal finishing/polishing/coatings and some packing and outbound shipping knowledge. You will be committed to developing, implementing, and maintaining rigorous quality assurance standards to ensure the delivery of exceptional products and services. By increasing the efficiency of existing processes and procedures, you will aim to enhance manufacturing capacity, enabling the insourcing of 20% of manufacturing activities and meeting crucial delivery and capability KPIs. Furthermore, ensure that all operational activities are completed on time and within budget, while effectively managing, leading, and developing staff. Responsibilities: Implement production systems, processes and disciplines including but not limited to planning, scheduling, and sequencing to ensure best use of resources and on-time delivery of Customers’ orders. Implement industry-leading manufacturing practices covering all manufacturing, finishing, assembly, packing and shipping functions. Implement and improve the quality assurance processes and disciplines and accountable to ensure exceptional quality products and services. Create and maintain HSE standards ensuring safety of all stakeholders as well as compliance to regulations, the wellbeing of our staff, and housekeeping standards through 5S disciplines. Lead, train, motivate and support the team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including process improvements and problem resolution. Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve planning, processes, systems and ultimately customer satisfaction. Budget and cost control. Schedule production and assembly activities and the outcomes to comply with QA and OTIF requirements. Accountable for staff conduct, wellbeing, living the values and development. Education/Work Experience Requirements: Minimum five years of proven success in a similar production management role. Has successfully led improvement projects in job lot production environments with significant demand. Strong emotional intelligence and a very good leader of people and change management. Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service. Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications. Deep understanding of production processes and related quality management systems. Formal production management qualification or training essential (or equivalent technical qualification). Working knowledge of relevant software tools incl MES, MPS, MRP. Strong skills in cost control. Experience at working on the shop floor. Able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team. Strong communicator with a desire for innovation and transformation.
