Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Simulator Performance Engineer to join our Vehicle Performance Group. This is an exciting role for a motivated and enthusiastic engineer to develop and deliver analysis techniques and direction to determine optimum vehicle performance using offline vehicle dynamic tools and the driver-in-the-loop simulator. Whilst this role is working from the factory base, a large part of this role would be supporting Trackside Engineers before, during and after race events, through simulations and analysis. The successful candidate will validate simulator output with track data and compare car characteristics of the Simulator and Race Car using objective and quantifiable metrics. You will also be expected to define and organise experiments and run plans to execute simulator test requests and provide detailed analysis and reporting of the results. Minimum Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone with: A strong academic background with a master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical Engineering Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles and a strong working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink. Excellent communication and organisational skills are required as well as an eye for detail. Relevant experience in a similar position and the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. What We Can Offer You
