We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who strives hard to ensure patients receive high quality and safe effective care. Therefore, working well in a team is essential. Whilst previous experience in acute care would be an advantage, we are looking for someone who has had nurse in charge experience and who is organised, has good clinical skills and knowledge, and is efficient in their role. In this role, you will be required to complete audits, complete Inphase investigations, manage staff sickness, and support the ward manager in ensuring high standards are met on the ward. This will include supporting staff to ensure they are up to date with trainings and competencies and completing achievement reviews of staff members to ensure their potentials are met in their developmental needs. We have a fantastic team who are extremely supportive and have high work ethics to ensure high standards of care are delivered. To provide the highest standard of professional nursing care to patients admitted with an acute medical condition, in conjunction with the inter-professional team. To be responsible for the efficient operational management of the ward and to lead the team on a daily basis liaising closely with the Unit Manager. To act as a professional role model and effective leader able to work independently and demonstrate clinical expertise in all aspects of patient care. Main duties of the job
