Job Description: Freelance Site Engineer - Bromsgrove
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer for a project in Bromsgrove, starting next week, with an expected duration of 3-4 months.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting Out: Conducting accurate setting out for all aspects of the project, including drainage, ducting, and reinforced concrete slab works. * Compliance and Safety: Ensuring all work complies with current health and safety standards and project specifications, particularly for works on a major road. * Reporting: Preparing accurate reports, records, and site documentation as required. * Collaboration: Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Experience: Proven track record in similar freelance roles, particularly with drainage, ducting, and reinforced concrete slabs. Experience on major road projects is highly desirable. * Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction techniques related to the project's scope. * Setting Out: Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations). * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and stakeholders. * Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues swiftly.
Qualifications:
* A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field. * Relevant certifications (CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous). * A valid UK driving license.
