January 15, 2025 Site Engineer - Regional Civils - Kent area My client is a Leading National Civil Engineering Contractor. They specialise in the following sectors: Highways, Bridges & Structures Public Realm Renewable Energy Key Responsibilities Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and traditional methods such as profiles, batter rail, and pegs. Reading and reviewing construction drawings. Undertaking basic take-offs. Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team. Having a good commercial understanding and knowing the difference between cost and value. Carrying out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification. Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures. Skills Required The company is seeking a proactive problem solver and confident communicator, who has the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous civil engineering experience, particularly in highways schemes, working for a main contractor. Must also have a CSCS card in the appropriate discipline and have a BSc/HND/HNC qualification or equivalent. You will have an SSTS card as well as ICE membership. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license is essential, and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Southern Region. A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable. Benefits Package Life assurance cover (4x annual salary).
