The Site Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of the company’s products efficiently and profitably on our customer’s site. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Installation and Service Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for: Specific: Carry out installation, commissioning, installation/operational qualification testing, temperature mapping and customer training to company procedures within quoted timescales and budgets. Carry out calibration and validation to company procedures. Carry out comparison calibration to ISO procedures. Carry out routine service, emergency service and product updates as required under warranty or subsequent maintenance agreements. Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns, liaising closely with the Applications Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to report progress and gather data as requested. Undertake on-call duties as part of the ‘on call’ out of hours rota. Perform annual calibration, alarm limit testing, temperature sensor validation and active sensor calibration and/or replacement. Complete all appropriate site documentation and return copies to the office in a timely manner, ensuring the use of the latest documentation and software. Provide feedback on customer comments (positive or negative), requests, observations, and additional functionality requests. Maintain sufficient van stocks of installation materials and specific maintenance spares. Control and safeguard kitted products and equipment issued for installation projects. Act as project manager on specific projects. Conduct site surveys and prepare quotations for extensions to existing systems or new systems, recommending suitable equipment to meet customers’ requirements and estimating material and labor costs. Complete site asset registers as required. General: Maintain effective communications with office staff. Manage own time effectively, completing and submitting weekly timesheets and monthly expenses in accordance with business expense guidelines. Be responsible for the company vehicle, keeping it clean and tidy, checking fluid levels and tyre pressures, and notifying the Installation and Service Manager when a service is due or if there are any defects. Take full responsibility for any equipment issued to you (including laptop and mobile phone). Ability to download and print documents from home using your own printer. Contribute positively to the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 continuous improvement ethos. Attend any relevant training and development courses as deemed necessary by Contronics management. Attend meetings/exhibitions outside of normal hours at the discretion of Contronics management. Comply with company Health and Safety rules and procedures. Comply with customer site Health and Safety rules and procedures. Wear appropriate PPE as required by company and/or customer Health and Safety rules and procedures, reporting worn or defective PPE to the Installation and Service Manager. Perform comparison calibration. Carry out other duties as required. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

PC literate (all MS Office suite) with an aptitude for quickly learning new software packages, including Windows. Your personal characteristics will include:
