Setting Out Engineer
to join their team and contribute to the successful delivery of residential groundworks across a variety of developments. Key Responsibilities: Set out and survey residential groundworks projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications. Produce setting out drawings and mark out the works for foundations, drainage, roads, and other site elements. Work closely with the site team, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure effective site operations. Liaise with the design team to ensure drawings and plans are accurate and reflect the latest site information. Conduct site surveys, level checks, and quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards of work. Maintain accurate records of site measurements and reports. Provide technical support to site teams and help resolve any on-site issues that may arise. Monitor and review progress to ensure works are completed on time and to budget. Requirements: Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, ideally within the groundworks or civil engineering sectors. Strong understanding of setting out techniques and the ability to interpret construction drawings. Experience working on residential construction projects. Familiarity with the use of setting out equipment (e.g., Total Station, GPS, Dumpy Level). Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction is desirable. Experience with construction software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
