Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer with VINCI Building, you will be an integral part of the construction delivery team operating across the Midlands region, delivering defined sections of works, understanding the project set-up, the roles played by different members of the team and details of the overall target outcome for the project. Your day to day duties will include: Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built drawings Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed, updating the Quality Plan accordingly, and ensuring the same is applied by subcontractors and suppliers. Produce short-term programmes to complete the works required. Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. Completing Daily Diaries. Allocate tasks to Assistant Engineers and liaise with Trades Supervisors and manage the task to completion. Ensure all works and personnel meet all Health, Safety and Quality standards. The Person: Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable. Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey. Familiar with Quality Management System and in writing RAMS. Proven people and project management skills and team leader with organisational skills. Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence others. A good team player and communicator who is able to work with all levels of the organisation.
