About the Role
As the sole engineer on-site, you will take charge of the engineering department, reporting directly to the Site Manager. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be actively involved on the factory floor, ensuring smooth production processes and addressing technical challenges as they arise, as well as ensuring all back-office functions are fulfilled appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve the site’s engineering functions, taking full ownership of machinery, systems, and maintenance.
Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Respond to and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring continuity of production.
About You
Previous experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment is essential; a background in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
Hands-on expertise with factory machinery and a proactive problem-solving approach.
Comfortable working independently, managing your own time, and making critical decisions.
Strong communication skills, able to liaise effectively with production and site management.
