Competitive, based on experience About the Company: Our client is a well-established and highly respected groundworks contractor specialising in residential developments across the South West of England. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for delivering high-quality work, they are now seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join their team. Role Overview: As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of groundworks projects for residential developments. You will oversee engineering activities on-site, working closely with the project management team to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with all relevant standards. Key Responsibilities: Setting out and surveying for groundwork projects, including foundations, drainage, and road construction. Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Maintaining accurate records, including site diaries, as-built surveys, and quality control documentation. Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery. Monitoring and enforcing health and safety standards on-site. Resolving any technical or design issues in collaboration with the design and project management teams. Qualifications and Experience: Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Site Engineer, ideally in residential groundworks or similar projects. Proficiency in using setting-out equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Full UK driving license.
