We're working with a main contractor to recruit a
Site Engineer
for a £20m project starting in Swindon. The project comprises constructing a new pumping station to improve the water network's capacity with new developments under construction in the area.
The project will require an engineer with a heavy civils background to construct a new pumping station, a deep sewer tunnel under the A419, and 2 rising mains. The project is planned to start in the Spring and is due to be completed by mid-2027.
Duties include:
Supervise and manage day-to-day engineering operations. Carry out site surveys and set out works for subcontractor delivery. Resolve technical issues in collaboration with the project manager and contractors. Prepare site reports and quality control documentation. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Identify and mitigate potential site risks. Inspect work to ensure it meets client specifications.
The business has a secure workload in the Thames Valley Region for at least 5 years, giving you the opportunity to progress in the team, taking projects from start to finish and undertaking further training. The company offers structured progression into Senior Engineer and Sub Agent roles or through a technical route of planning and design.
