Site Engineer
Salary: £38-£43K DOE
24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
Location: Henstridge - Near Wincanton & Yeovil
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
My Client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing company based in Henstridge near Wincanton, is looking to recruit a 'hands-on' Site Engineer.
The successful Site Engineer will report to the Operations Director and work closely with the Production Manager. The Site Engineer will be responsible for managing and controlling all engineering requirements of the business. This includes direct hands-on intervention with all plant, equipment, and utilities, as well as engaging and supervising contractors and suppliers. The role aims to deliver low-cost production, maximize capacity and yield, minimize downtime, extend the life of plant and equipment, and reduce maintenance and repair expenditures. This is a full-time factory-based position.
The successful candidate MUST: Have previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Possess strong mechanical knowledge. Have strong relationship skills and the ability to communicate engineering issues with people at all levels. Be hands-on, working with a small team and managing subcontractors, as most engineering work will be carried out by yourself or regular subcontractors. Enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously. Have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual with a strong mechanical engineering background.
This position is commutable from Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Shaftesbury, Frome, Bruton, Mere, Warminster, and Westbury.
This role may suit candidates who have previously worked as an Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Coordinator, Maintenance Manager, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Supervisor, Quarry Engineer, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, or Engineering Team Leader.
