Overview of role This is a fantastic opportunity to join Westmill as we build for the future. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the site team as Site Engineering Manager, reporting to the Site General Manager. The Trafford facility is Westmill's flagship site which is continually developing and improving our people, process and products. Key Accountabilities To develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance strategy for the site. Guardian of Engineering standards for the whole site. Responsible for coaching, developing and leading all direct reports and for the successful application of lean manufacturing within the site maintenance team both structurally and culturally. Responsible for advising manufacturing and SGM on engineering maintenance budgets including periodic reviews. Ensure that all engineering KPIs are defined, understood, aligned to manufacturing plans and actions in place to achieve continuous improvement. Ensure that the correct resource and strategy is in place to deliver the site overhead and prime budgets. Improve site services and infrastructure standards whilst maintaining budget control. Ensure company H&S standards and statutory regulations e.g. legal & mandatory, food safety etc. are complied with, within own area of control. Advisory to manufacturing for other areas. Lead by example to ensure a behavioural safety culture is developed and maintained. The Right Person A strong Leader of Operational Engineering, capable of motivating and leading maintenance teams to perform to the best of their ability. Driving the site engineering function to service the Manufacturing Operation to ensure that OEE targets are met and improved to deliver the most cost-effective quality product to its wide customer base. Ability to deliver and implement a robust engineering strategy working with OEMs, alongside our operations and capital teams, linked to reliability, performance improvement, asset care, risk management and essential replacement. Development and adoption of Pro-active Maintenance Best Practice Systems.
