An established regional main contractor working across the greater London and SE area now seeks an experienced site manager to oversee a new project in the Whitstable area. The project is a new build apartment scheme, traditional build creating approx. 25 new homes. Due on site imminently and programmed to run for 18 months, this is a private development. The role has arisen via growth and is an addition to the existing construction team. The role is for a site manager - No.1 on site.
Your new role As Senior site manager, you will be number one on site and have full responsibility for running the scheme. You will be supported via a visiting contracts manager and surveyor. You will join the project at an early stage and have direct input into the build programme and design co-ordination. You will be responsible for all health and safety paperwork on site as well as subcontract management and quality control.
What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced site manager or PM comfortable running your own project from start to finish. Previous experience of working on similar sized projects is highly desirable as is the ability to run the scheme through all phases from groundworks through external envelope, internal fitout and handover. First Aid, CSCS & SMSTS are essential.
