Site Manager - Anaerobic Digestion & Biomethane Winchester Introduction: Our client is developing and building multiple multi-year Contracts and Projects in the UK and they are looking for skilled people to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in Anaerobic Digestion and Biomethane. They are recruiting for a Site Manager who will play an important part in keeping their construction site running at their highest potential, acting as the key site interface between them and the Principal Contractor in addition to managing the activities of 4-5 specialist subcontractors. The project is valued at roughly 25m with an estimated construction period of 12 months followed by extensive commissioning. Key responsibilities will include: Supervising the site at a project level, ensuring the Principal Contractor complies with program, contract, cost, quality and SHEQ requirements. Ensuring that the Principal Contractor is pro-actively discharging their duties under the Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations, that regular site safety walks are carried out, site access is effectively controlled and that all applicable technical specifications are met. Ensuring all construction activities comply with scheme deliverables, driving a culture of zero accidents and zero defects to meet delivery milestones. Achieving full H&S compliance where the team feels safe every day and has the confidence and autonomy to raise safety concerns. Adopting, maintaining and promoting cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources. Preparing, reviewing and updating realistic scheme programmes, ensuring all stakeholders complete work on schedule. Chairing and attending site coordination meetings with contractors, reviewing compliance of all mandatory documentation (Temporary Works, Quality, Environmental, Risk Assessments and Method Statements). Managing Collaborative planning meetings on site. Undertaking the role of the Project Engineer's representative on site, familiar with all aspects of the contract documentation, maintaining records of site progress, manpower, plant and equipment to drive efficiencies and improvements. Working with the Technical Manager and Engineering Project Engineers on the project, proactively managing risks and issues, while answering any questions or technical queries that arise during the project. Here's What You'll Need: Engineering and construction site experience Supervisory/management experience in a construction environment Strong understanding of CDM Regulations Great interpersonal and communication skills Qualification in an engineering/construction discipline SMSTS/SSSTS/CSCS NEBOSH, IOSH Microsoft Project and collaborative planning tools
