About the Role

They are looking for a dedicated professional to oversee and manage construction sites across the Midlands region. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of bulk earthworks and groundworks civils projects, managing teams ranging from 8 to 30 personnel depending on the size and scope of each project. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering career progression within a company known for its expertise in delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and motivate site teams on bulk earthworks and groundwork civils projects. Oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular progress meetings. Monitor work progress and resolve any issues or challenges promptly. Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to senior management.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential: Previous experience in bulk earthworks and groundworks civils. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage crews of 8 to 30 individuals. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring best practices are implemented across all site activities. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexibility to travel across the Midlands as required. Proficiency in reading site drawings and managing resources effectively. Full UK driving licence.

Certifications

Valid CSCS card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (or equivalent).
