Overall Objective: Control of all day-to-day activities on civil engineering (plot works) schemes. Key Accountabilities:

Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and Company Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. Assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects. Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements. Ensure technical compliance and the safety of all operational activities. Monitor progress against programme, take off and call off materials in advance of work. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, variation reports for the scheme. Prepare detailed weekly lookahead programmes. Schedule and manage resources to deliver site works. Provide accurate records and measurement details to enable the Quantity Surveyor to prepare monthly valuations. Support the planning, design and management of projects. Manage information flow and identify technical queries. Ensure exceptional levels of customer care. Weekly Programmes. Quality control. Waste. Experience & Qualifications: CSCS card – minimum gold standard. Experience working in plot sector of new build projects/sites. 5 day Site Managers Safety certificate. Experience of civil engineering scheme of values £100k - £4million. First aid at work certificate desirable. Full clean UK driving licence. Personal Skills: Encourage and support other colleagues. Friendly and approachable and caring. Has a ‘can do / will do’ attitude. Analyzes own performance and takes steps to improve this. Remains focused when faced with competing demands. Keeps people informed of progress on key tasks. Adapts their communication style to suit their customer/ colleague responding to their feedback. Is open to new ideas and listens to other people’s point of view. Is open and honest. Consistently makes decisions which bring benefit to customers. Conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner.
