The Site Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of an education construction project, ensuring its timely delivery within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This individual will coordinate with stakeholders, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Manage on-site operations, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. Develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety and quality standards. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. Attend and lead site meetings, providing updates on progress and addressing issues. Resource Management: Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work. Organize and manage site logistics, including deliveries and equipment use. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, including risk assessments and progress reports. Report any delays, challenges, or potential risks to senior management. Qualifications and Skills:

Essential: Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within the education or public sector. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Strong understanding of health and safety requirements (e.g., CDM regulations). CSCS card, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), and First Aid certification. Desirable: Experience with education projects or working within live school environments. NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Personal Attributes:

Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality and safety.
