Site Manager - West Yorkshire

My Tier 1 client is completing a multimillion-pound enhancement of a key wastewater treatment facility in West Yorkshire. The project focuses on improving water quality in a local river by reducing untreated wastewater discharges and lowering Phosphorus levels in treated effluents. Key activities include installing a new storm tank, enhancing treatment processes, and modernising existing assets. This initiative reflects the client's commitment to environmental sustainability and community health. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with the client's objectives, deadlines, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the on-site implementation of the wastewater treatment works project. Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. Monitor progress against project milestones and make necessary adjustments to keep the project on track. Supervise the installation of a new storm tank and associated infrastructure to increase storage capacity and reduce untreated discharges. Oversee the installation of chemical dosing units and other processes to decrease Phosphorus levels in treated wastewater. Ensure modernisation of existing assets is performed to high standards and specifications. Ensure all work meets environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and client policies. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage a diverse team of construction workers, engineers, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork. Liaise with the client's project manager and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Provide regular updates and address any issues or concerns promptly. Engage with local stakeholders to ensure transparency and positive community relations. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions. Monitor environmental impacts and ensure precautions are taken to protect the local ecosystem. Enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Manage project budgets to ensure resource efficiency and cost control. Monitor expenditures and provide accurate financial reports. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of England's largest construction companies who have exciting plans for the near future in the region.
