Site Manager
I'm recruiting on behalf of a very busy main contractor who operates nationwide and specializes in new build education projects on behalf of the DFE.
About the role:
You will be working alongside an on-site Project Manager as a No.2 looking after the fit-out of a £50m new build school from 1st fix. The contract will run for the next 10-12 months.
Responsibilities for Site Manager:
Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites.
Enforce health & safety protocols, manage risks, and address any issues promptly.
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, to keep the project on track.
Maintain quality standards by monitoring workmanship, materials, and adherence to specifications.
When challenges arise, find solutions to keep the project moving forward.
Effectively communicate by liaising with team members, reporting progress, and addressing concerns.
