M&E Site Manager - Refurbishment & New Build (Freelance)

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee and manage the mechanical and electrical aspects of refurbishment and new build projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Manage on-site M&E installations for refurbishment and new build projects. Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to required standards and compliance regulations. Ensure the smooth coordination of mechanical and electrical services, integrating with other trades. Monitor progress, quality, and safety, ensuring strict adherence to site regulations. Liaise with clients, project managers, and design teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track. Ensure accurate reporting, including progress reports, RAMS, and compliance documentation. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring efficient problem-solving on site.
Requirements: Proven experience as an M&E Site Manager within refurbishment and/or new build projects. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, regulations, and commissioning. Experience managing subcontractors, site logistics, and project timelines. Relevant M&E qualifications (HNC, HND, NVQ, or trade background preferred). SMSTS/SSSTS certification. CSCS card (Manager level preferred). First Aid at Work certification. Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and drive projects forward efficiently.
