Site Manager - 1m New Build Wellness Centre

12 Months Our client is a main contractor that operates within the public and private sector, specializing in new build and refurbishment projects with typical values between 1m - 10m. We are recruiting a Site Manager to oversee a 1m new build wellness centre, including a gym, toilet, and shower rooms, as part of a larger hotel refurbishment project valued at 7m. Project Overview: This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced project team working on the construction of a state-of-the-art wellness centre within a hotel that is undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the project is delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. The wellness centre will include high-quality facilities, transforming the guest experience within this prestigious hotel. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently reporting into the Project Manager. Oversee a team of subcontractors, ensuring all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Setting out where required using Theodolite. Liaise with the client, project manager, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication. Handle all on-site health and safety, ensuring full compliance with regulations. Assist in the coordination of site logistics and ensure the timely delivery of materials. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise on site, ensuring minimal disruption to the project. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build projects with experience of using Theodolite for setting out purposes. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and interact effectively with clients and stakeholders. Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and deliver projects on time and within budget. Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) are highly desirable. This is an immediate requirement; you must have experience of new build projects and have the correct valid construction tickets. This is a long-term freelance position.
