Site Manager - Fast Track Refurbishment & Interior Fit Out Main Contractor Refurbishment / Hotel / Multi Floor / Fast Track / City Centre Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Type: Freelance / Temporary Role Duration: Approximately 13 weeks The Company Our client is a successful construction principal contractor who works nationally from multiple offices across the country. They are looking to appoint a Site Manager to manage a fast track project refurbishing a hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre. Their success has led to a sharp increase in turnover, and they aim to continue their growth over the coming financial year. They have developed an excellent reputation in market sectors including Office, Hotel, Prime Residential, Commercial, and Apartments. They pride themselves on the fact that over 70% of their workload is negotiated with existing clients. The Site Manager Role This role is suitable for a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager looking to work in a more dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be expected to execute the designated role to the agreed programme, in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards expected by the client and company. The position will involve managing a site in Newcastle upon Tyne city centre for approximately 13 weeks, focusing on the fast track refurbishment of a hotel. The successful applicant will be capable of running the project on a day-to-day basis with the assistance of a visiting Project Manager. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the project, including both refurbishment and fit-out elements across multiple floors from inception to completion. Responsibilities include: Managing the project on site Managing the build program Conducting inductions if required Managing Health and Safety Working closely with all sub-contractors to ensure projects finish on time Liaising on all levels to ensure effective communication is maintained The ideal candidate will have previously managed fast track refurbishment sites within the construction and refurbishment sectors. Experience in hotel, office, student accommodation, commercial, and PRS apartment schemes is beneficial. As the Site Manager, you will be a self-motivated individual who is autonomous in your role while being able to drive subcontractors. It is essential that you hold SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, Asbestos Awareness, and First Aid certificates. The project will commence initially on the 6th January 2025. Remuneration:
