Our client, a major contractor, is looking for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join the team on an exciting £80 million laboratory project based in Central London. This large-scale development will involve the construction and fit-out of cutting-edge laboratory facilities designed to support scientific research. As Site Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the successful execution of this highly complex project, overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, and managing key contractors and teams. Role Overview:

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site operations, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, and ensuring the project is delivered on schedule. Oversee subcontractors and work crews, ensuring that they are aligned with project objectives, quality standards, and safety regulations. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitors. Liaise with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and progress. Monitor the quality of work, ensuring that the project is delivered to the highest standards and that any issues are addressed promptly. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality control checks, resolving any issues that arise during construction. Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, site reports, and progress updates. Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements, particularly those specific to laboratory construction. Manage and resolve any site-related challenges, including delays, logistical issues, and technical complications. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar site-based role, ideally on large-scale projects (£50M+). Previous experience working on laboratory or high-tech facilities would be highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, senior managers, and other stakeholders. Up-to-date qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid. Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to oversee multiple tasks on a busy construction site. Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Why Join? Work on a prestigious and exciting £80 million laboratory project in Central London. The chance to be a key player in a high-impact, innovative project. How to Apply: This is your chance to lead a critical part of an exciting, high-value project and make a significant contribution to the construction of a world-class laboratory facility.
