My client, a Residential House Builder, is looking for a Senior Site Manager to work across plots ranging from 35-250. They are dedicated to building Social/Affordable housing. As the Senior Site Manager (SMTS/NVQ 6), you will deliver projects on time and on budget. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all site activities are conducted efficiently and safely while also managing a team of staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. The role has great opportunities to move into a senior SM or even PM role for the right person. Responsibilities

As a site manager, you will be responsible for looking after the teams on a construction site, as well as liaising with the clients. You will monitor costs and budget, and order materials for the project. The job role of a site manager involves the following duties: Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public Supervising construction workers and hiring subcontractors Buying materials for each phase of the project Monitoring build costs and project progress Conducting quality and safety inspections Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings Maintaining quality control checks Motivating the workforce Day-to-day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise Using specialist project management computer programs Working on-site in all weathers, at clients' businesses, or in a site office. Minimum Requirements

To be considered as a Site Manager, you will need to demonstrate: Qualifications appropriate to the role - all aspects of D&B project Good knowledge of Affordable/Social Housing Safe systems of work and promoting best practices throughout the project Ability to work calmly under pressure Embracing technology and modern methods of construction to strive for efficiencies Problem-solving skills with the ability to break issues down and derive results Good knowledge of programme management and control Recognizing critical activities and actively delivering mitigation measures Understanding the importance of change management and associated risks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, inspiring and motivating others in the project
