We're currently recruiting a Project Manager to join our client, a medium-sized high-end main contractor.
The project is a new site starting near Tetbury, Gloucestershire, which consists of a listed building residential refurbishment, value £6m.
Duties Manage the construction programme. Set clear team goals and manage the team effectively. Lead by example, upholding high standards in safety, quality, and client management. Conduct regular site meetings to review safety, progress, quality, and coordination. Work with the QS to compile risk registers and meet financial targets. Record and report delays, ensuring timely issue resolution. Produce accurate financial forecasts and updates. Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners, fostering open communication. Anticipate project challenges and provide cost-effective solutions. Create and monitor contract programmes, ensuring achievable targets. Plan resources and procurement in collaboration with the QS. Oversee subcontractor selection and ensure compliance with project requirements. Maintain up-to-date project records and ensure timely delivery of handover documentation. Set and enforce high safety and environmental standards in line with company policies. Develop and implement project-specific HSE plans. Review and guide subcontractors method statements for safe practices. Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections. Perform roles such as Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor as required.
